Izumi Suzuki par Araki












Izumi Suzuki was born on July 10, 1949 in Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture. After graduating from high school, she worked for the city. She headed for Tokyo in 1969 and became a writer following her experience as a model and an actress. In 1973,she married legendary alto sax musician Kaoru Abe and gave birth to a daughter. Her name appeared in extensively in the media―in newspapers, magazines, books, movies, on the stage as a member of the drama troupe Tenjosajiki, on TV. Her existence itself was a media and became the embodiment of the 70s. In 1986, she hanged herself and put a stop to the incredible speed with which she exhausted 36 years and 7 months of living. Collections of her works include: The Izumi Suzuki Collection in 8 volumes ; Izumis Cruel Fairy Tales (Izumi no zankoku meruhen); Touch ; Izumis Collection of Words (Izumi Goroku).
